About SICE 2026

The Indian Structural Integrity Society (InSIS) unites researchers and practicing specialists across the spectrum to disseminate their research work, and collaborate in the broad area of structural integrity through their flagship biennial conference-the Structural Integrity Conference and Exhibition (SICE).

After the inaugural edition in 2016, the 6th International SICE will be held on December 8-11th 2026, at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. SICE 2026 will bring together engineers and scientistsfrom academia, industries, research laboratories from India and abroad covering a multitude of fields working on structural integrity from the everyday to the extraordinary, including Metallurgical and Materials, Mechanical, Mining, Civil, Defense, Aerospace, Petrochemical and Healthcare sectors. Practicing engineers and researchers will gather to discuss advanced technological developments and fundamental new research themes towards sustainable solutions in experimental and computational research, covering topics such as life prediction, condition monitoring across length scales, devices and components during manufacturing and under service conditions, large scale civil structures and their design for structural integrity, non-destructive evaluation advances and new product developments in mechanical testing for extreme environments, amongst others.

A special aspect of SICE 2026 will feature hands-on workshops in advanced software for mechanical testing and new NDT techniques. Three Pre-conference workshops will highlight aspects of the latest advances in composite testing, non-destructive evaluation and in-situ testing under extreme environments. Notable events in SICE 2026 are, a special symposium on, “Advances in Structural Integrity, Macro to Mesoscales”, in honor of Prof Vikram Jayaram and Dr S R Valluri Memorial Lecture.

This convention will also provide an ideal ambience to develop new collaborations and networking opportunities for early career researchers through interactions with international experts, as well as industry leaders, through its plenary talks, exhibition, poster sessions and student focused events.

We cordially invite you to participate in and contribute to SICE-2026, at IISc Bangalore.

About InSIS

The Indian Structural Integrity Society (InSIS), set up in 2012 is a non-profit organization that unites practicing engineers, researchers, academicians  in a wide variety of disciplines that impact safety and reliability of structures, machines, vehicles and devices. International conferences, thematic Workshops and lectures organized by InSIS serve as a platform for researchers and practicing engineers to interact. One of the flagship recurring events is a Monthly Webinar Series that InSIS hosts, with eminent speakers and subject matter experts from all over the globe, sharing their vast experience, in specific topics, ranging from fundamental science to applied research to industry problems, and failure analysis. Topics such as aeroengine fatigue simulations, residual life assessment of aircraft structures, high temperature materials testing, qualification of large additively manufactured components and the challenges, role of mechanics and metallurgy of solid state batteries, etc. are discussed with a large network of industry professionals and academic researchers, enabling networking and collaborations.
